Folklore has been a very important part of the story we’re reading. Folklore is the “lore” shared by a particular folk. In simpler terms, it is the set of traditions and beliefs that a group of people share. In the story, a character is both racist and african-american. This contradicts the story because most everyone in the community is african-american. Do you think it is right to be racist against your own race?

Their Eyes were Watching God

In the book Their Eyes were Watching God, Marriage is a very insignificant thing. The main character gets married at a young age and leaves her husband for another man without getting a divorce. She runs off and marries a new man, and she’s now not sure if she likes him either. The story depicts marriage as being a very insignificant thing and that is very upsetting to me.

Colin Foley pt 2

Colin Foley is still, one week later, the best athlete in the school. He has not announced where he will be attending school. He has left many teachers and students (maybe even the whole community) wondering.

Colin Foley

Colin Foley is the best athlete KR ever did see. Some think that Jayden Davis was, but most believe in Colin. He is the heart and soul of the boys soccer team. They actually lost a lot of games without him. He’s kinda rude, but a fierce attitude only benefits him on the field. We are hoping to see Colin on the National Team soon. Visit Mr. Sherrock if you would like to hear more about how amazing Colin Foley is.

Homeroom Debates

I’m sitting in homeroom (live) with Bailey Armentrout and Nick Brown. (Live) Sometimes I wish that they would talk quieter. Joey is currently trying to get his name in my post. Apparently he wrote his blog about how to microwave bread. I really feel sorry for our generation, and anyone who reads that post as they might lose brain cells. You obviously should never microwave bread. Perhaps Joey just needs a toaster. Now Ashley is agreeing with him, and my whole homeroom thinks I’m wrong. What do you think? Microwave, or toaster oven?
